Mrs. Coffey is a veteran home educator. She taught her four sons from Pre-K through twelfth grade for a total of 25 years as a home educator. She also served in leadership as a homeschool support group founder and leader in Ohio for many years. Mrs. Coffey is a graduate of Liberty University with a B.S. in Education, and a Master of Arts in History.
She also holds a Certificate of Music Theory Instruction for elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels from the Progressive Series School of Music formerly located in St. Louis. Mrs. Coffey has taught music for 30+ years in her own music studio featuring piano, harp, and recorder, as well as music theory and history. She is a member of Music Teacher’s National Association, Virginia Music Teacher’s Association, The American Harp Society and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
She is also the wife of a pastor/missionary, and is pianist in her church. She has traveled the world in ministry and has been on five continents and many middle eastern countries. Her favorite countries are Ireland, Israel, Norway, and Tanzania, Africa. She loves music, history, and genealogy as well as spending time with her six grandchildren. Her hobbies include sewing, photography, knitting, gardening, and reading.
She currently has been teaching history and music online for six years for Big River Academy as well as in her home music studio. She previously taught Pre-K through Grade 6 General Music for Pathway Christian Academy.
