This class will focus on the inner workings of the American Criminal Justice System and will detail how the various components work together in the pursuit of justice. Highlighted will be some of the hot-button policing issues profiled in the news and media. The class will also explore the challenges of homeland security and how local agencies and organizations prepare for current and future threats. This class will include live interactive classes, projects, research activities, and interactive discussions all designed to give the student a realistic understanding of this topic. All lessons will be pre-recorded this semester and available for student access on the Schoology platform.
