This Algebra 1 course includes the following: functions and graphs, equations in one and two variables, solving systems of equations, exponents, polynomials, factoring, algebraic fractions, operations on square roots/radicals, solving quadratic equations, and inequalities. A graphing calculator is recommended; the teacher will demonstrate using a TI-84. This is a full-year course and is recommended for 9th-grade students. Big River Math classes meet for 1 hour 2 times a week; please note this in your scheduling.
